Yilin Verse
雨師娶婦,黃巖季子,成禮就昏,相呼南上。
The Rain Master takes a bride; the young lord of Huangyan. The rites complete, the wedding done; calling to each other, they ascend southward.

Commentary
Thunder above wind, Duration's marital constancy, advances into fire above earth — Progress's radiant emergence. The Rain Master takes a bride; the young lord of Yellow Cliff completes the rites, and the couple calls to each other as they ascend southward. The Rain Master (雨師) is a celestial deity of weather, and his wedding suggests cosmic forces joining in sanctioned union. The ascent southward — toward fire, light, and maximum yang — signals the couple rising together toward brightness. From Duration to Progress, the enduring bond of thunder and wind transforms into the sun emerging above the earth. Marriage conducted with proper ceremony becomes the vehicle of collective advancement; the couple's mutual calling embodies fellowship within forward motion.
