In the hollow of an old tree, the swallow returns to the nest; nine chicks squeeze together, calling out. The mother bird carries insects, feeding them in turns — the branch is steady, the nest is warm, nothing shakes.

注释
天在山中，大畜蓄養之象。原辭曰：「一巢九子，同公共母。柔順利貞，出入不殆，福祿所在。」一巢九雛，共父共母——家庭和睦，兒女眾多。柔順利貞——以柔順為道，守正則吉。出入不殆——行止皆安。從大畜至蠱（山下有風），蓄養之力化為風在山下振動之象。蠱者，整治陳腐。九子同巢正是以養育之功修復傳承之斷裂，柔順為本，家道得以延續。蓄積之德化為養育之恩，代際相承。
