注释
天在山中，大畜蓄力之象。逐狐平原——於平原追逐狐狸。水遏我前——水流擋住去路。深不可涉——水深不可渡。暮無所得——至暮而空手歸。狐者，狡黠之物；逐之於曠野本已費力，又遇深水阻隔，功虧一簣。從大畜至震（洊雷），蓄積之力化為雷動之急。震者，恐懼修省——雷來則驚懼自省。蓄積既久一旦衝動追逐，反為環境所阻。追狐而遇水，行動過速而失所蓄之穩重。震動之後當反身自省，非繼續蠻追。
