Yilin Verse
忠言輔成,王政不傾;公劉兆基,文武綏之。

Commentary
Thunder erupts from the earth as loyal counsel upholds the throne and royal governance stands firm. Gong Liu laid the foundations of the Zhou clan at Bin, and Kings Wen and Wu brought them to fulfillment. Gong Liu, a descendant of Hou Ji, led the Zhou ancestors to settle in Bin where they developed agriculture and laid the groundwork for what would become a dynasty. Generations later, Wen and Wu completed the mission — one through moral accumulation, the other through righteous conquest. From Enthusiasm to Breakthrough, the transformation channels stored energy into decisive action. The lake rises above heaven, and generosity flows downward. Centuries of patient groundwork culminate in the breakthrough moment when the Zhou mandate is secured through both wisdom and force.
