千歲槐根,身多斧瘢。傷癰擣理,枝葉不出。

Commentary
Wind rises from fire in the family hearth, yet the ancient locust root tells a darker tale. A thousand-year-old tree bears countless axe scars across its trunk. Wounds fester and split the grain, and no new branches or leaves emerge. The image is one of a household lineage so battered by repeated blows that its regenerative power is spent. Each scar marks a crisis survived but never healed, until the accumulated damage becomes irreversible. From The Family to The Creative, the transformation demands self-generating vitality — heaven doubled, ceaselessly renewing. But the old root, though enduring, has been struck too many times to summon that initiative. Resilience without renewal is merely slow decay; the Creative requires not just survival but the will to put forth new growth.
