Commentary
Thunder doubled meets lake over fire: shock transformed through Revolution's cleansing fire. Ascending Mount Kunlun, entering Heaven's Gate. Passing the Mound of Wine-Dregs, lodging at the Jade Spring. Meeting a gracious host, encountering a delightful lord. The verse reads as a Daoist journey narrative — ascending the cosmic mountain, passing through celestial landmarks, each station more sublime than the last. Kunlun is the axis mundi, gateway between earth and heaven; the Jade Spring represents purification. From The Arousing to Revolution, fire within the lake, the verse traces a total transformation of state. Thunder's raw power is refined through each stage of ascent until it arrives at the presence of the divine, fundamentally changed. Revolution is not mere destruction but the passage through fire that purifies.
