Yilin Verse
文山鴻豹,肥腯多脂。王孫獲願,載福巍巍。
On Wen Mountain, great swans and leopards, fat and rich with flesh. The prince obtains his desire; blessings heaped high as a mountain.

Commentary
Wind over mountain transitions to water over earth: gradual cultivation yields communal abundance. On the mountain of Wen, wild geese and leopards roam, fat and sleek with rich marrow. The king's grandson obtains his wish, and blessings pile high as a peak. The mountain teems with well-nourished creatures, an image of natural prosperity accrued over time. From Development to Holding Together, the slow growth of the source hexagram ripens into the solidarity of the target. Water upon earth gathers naturally, as feudal lords once rallied to a worthy sovereign. The king's grandson who receives his heart's desire does so because the conditions for unity have been cultivated gradually, not seized in haste.
