Yilin Verse

Commentary
Paired lakes meet fire emerging from the earth — Progress, the sun rising above the horizon. In middle age, blessings arrive; this year, fortune is received. There will surely be gain, and honor and favor follow. The verse is a straightforward omen of advancement: after years of steady cultivation, recognition finally comes. From The Joyous to Progress, delight aligns with upward movement. The sun emerging from the earth illuminates one's virtue to the world. Mid-life reward resonates with Progress's specific dynamic — not youthful ambition but mature merit finally recognized. The marquis receives horses and is granted audience three times in a single day.
