天與火同人，貴族與君子結為益友。王孫季子，相與為友——王族之孫與賢士為友；明允篤誠——光明誠信，篤實不渝。升擢慶舉——同獲拔擢，共受慶賀。此為賢友之頌——非庇蔭，而是品德相當者之真摯結交，合德而獲識拔。從同人至小過（山上有雷），為此成功添加審慎。小過君子以行過乎恭、喪過乎哀、用過乎儉——即便友誼受慶，亦須防過度。寧可稍顯卑謙，不可稍涉驕矜。
