Three men travel together, all journeying to the northern sea. Entering the gate, ascending the hall, they pay respects to the Queen Mother. She rewards them with wine.

三人為旅，俱歸北海。入門上堂，拜謁王母，勞賜美酒。西王母居崑崙弱水之上，掌不死之桃。乾至復，雷在地中，復之象也。先王以至日閉關。三人北行朝聖，終獲至尊母神接見賜飲，正合復卦之意：陽氣自地底回歸，如旅人歷盡長途終抵聖殿。冬至一陽來復，黑暗之極處重見光明。三人之旅程象徵精力之復歸，王母之酒為生機之再灌注——行將枯竭者得到源頭之滋養。
