Old eyes dim in drowsy sleep, unable to tell east from west. The lord has lost the thread of governance; the straight he mistakes for the bent. He treasures his precious jade.

注释
天與火同人，然知覺已失。老目瞢眠，不知東西——昏花之目辨不清方向。君失理命，以直為傴——執政失當，將正直者視為佝僂。然末句「王珍其寶」忽轉——王仍能識寶。失明之官與尚存之辨寶本能並置。從同人至大壯（雷在天上），問題加劇。大壯君子以非禮弗履——力量失去辨識即為危險，不辨東西之君如盲執雷霆。然珍寶之語暗示：即便在混亂中，若價值觀未全然腐蝕，要緊之物仍可能被識得。
