Settled in home, reluctant to move; one does not leave one's domain. Tidings have not yet come; joyful to possess a lasting livelihood.

注释
安居重遷，不去其亶——安居而不輕遷，不離本鄉。未來相聞，樂得常產——鄰里相聞而不相擾，樂於恆產安業。此詩頌安土重遷之美德：家園已足，何須遠徙。「重遷」在此為正面品質——深植於鄉土社群。從大有至震（洊雷），天火化為重雷之震——突然之驚動。然詩寫的恰是震之反面：安寧、知足、守土。其關聯在於何以抗震：雷至之時，有常產、有深根者方能安然度過。震以恐懼修省，安居者之不懼正因根基已固。
