From dire straits one breaks through to the heights, and meets with Yao himself. Ascending the great mountain -- no wicked person remains in the realm.

注释
雷出地奮，阨窮上通——自困厄中突破而上。與堯相逢——得遇聖君堯帝。登升大麓——登大麓受試。此典出《史記·五帝本紀》：「堯使舜入山林川澤，暴風雷雨，舜行不迷。」舜於大麓受堯考驗而不迷失，終受禪讓。國無凶人——天下清明。從豫至艮（兼山），重山靜止：登頂之後方知止。豫之奮發最終化為艮之安定——非停滯之靜，而是已達其位、安然而處之靜。奮進的終點是知止。
