Clad in patterned virtue, ascending into the great mountain; the four gates solemn and reverent, he ascends to receive great blessings.

注释
澤中有雷，被服文德——以文德為衣，內修外顯。升入大麓——入大麓以受試煉。據《史記·五帝本紀》，堯使舜入山林川澤，遇暴風雷雨而不迷，以驗其德。四門雍肅——朝廷四門莊嚴有序。登受大福——舜終受天命而即位。從隨至大壯（雷在天上），天上之雷勢不可擋而以禮約束——君子非禮弗履。舜非以力取天下，乃以德行引天下來歸。大壯之雷非橫行無忌，而是文德充盈後自然迸發之偉力。
