注释
地勢坤，厚德載物。塗遏道塞，求事不得——道路被堵，前行不通，所求之事不可得。僅此二句，斷然而止。兼山，艮之象：君子以思不出其位。艮者，止也，當止則止。此詩以極簡之辭寫極止之意——路塞則不通，事阻則不得，更無贅言。從坤至艮，大地之廣闊豎起重山以阻行旅：坤之所予，艮盡收之。坤本無所不容，艮則設限以止。詩之短促正如艮之教誨——止之時到，多言無益，不如一止了然。
