探懷得蚤，無有凶憂。所願失道，善居漸好。
Reaching into the robe, finding only a flea; yet no ill omen follows. What was wished for strays from the path, but a good dwelling gradually improves.

注释
地勢坤，厚德載物。探懷得蚤，無有凶憂——伸手入懷摸到一隻跳蚤，並無凶險之事。所願失道，善居漸好——所望之事未如預期，然安居不動則漸漸好轉。山上有木，漸之象：君子以居賢德善俗。漸者，進也，如鴻之漸進，一步一階。此詩以小事喻漸道：懷中之蚤非大患，願雖未遂而居之則漸善。從坤至漸，大地之即時供給化為山上木之緩慢生長。漸之道不容急躁——心願未達不必驚慌，安居則時間自會帶來改善。如木在山上，風吹日曬而漸漸成材。
