The white colt grazes on fresh grass, lush and luxuriant. Radiant and splendid, the noble man; joyful, he forgets his cares.

注释
地勢坤，厚德載物。白駒生芻，猗猗盛姝——白駒食鮮嫩之草，猗猗然美好茂盛。赫喧君子，樂以忘憂——光彩煥發之君子，樂而忘憂。此引《詩經·小雅·白駒》：「皎皎白駒，食我場苗」——賢客來訪，以草留之。白駒喻賢才，芻草喻主人之誠意款待。隨風，巽之象：君子以申命行事。巽者，入也，以柔和之力深入。從坤至巽，大地之草為留客之媒——駒食芻而留，客感誠而安。巽之力不在強制而在感化：以所供養者之美好使賢者自願停留，如風之入物，不覺而已深。
