地勢坤，厚德載物。車馳人趍，卷甲相仇——戰車奔馳，人馬急行，卷甲以戰。齊魯寇戰，敗於犬丘——齊國與魯國交兵，敗於犬丘。麗澤，兌之象：君子以朋友講習。兌者，悅也，然此詩反寫兌之誤用——以戰爭之激昂代替講習之喜悅。犬丘之敗為兌之反面：非以和悅交友而以兵戈相向，雙方皆損。從坤至兌，大地之平和化為兵車馳騁之場。兌之能量若用於講習則為真悅，若用於征伐則為假歡——戰場之激情轉瞬即為敗績之慘痛。
