風行地上，觀天候失序之災。喜怒不時——天之陰晴無常——雪霜為災，稼穡無功。連后稷——周人始祖、舜時農官、中國農業之祖——亦飢憂不已。農之創始者自身不能自給，則天時之紊亂已至極點。天在山中，大畜之象，蓄天之力於山中。從觀至大畜，悖論嚴峻：本以積蓄前言往行為旨之卦，遇最根本之農時知識已被亂象廢棄之世。
