電雷噬嗑，明罰之卦。智不別揚，張狂妄行——智識不能辨明是非，狂妄冒進。蹈淵仆顛，傷殺伯身。魯莽者墜入深淵，長子因之受傷而亡。非外敵致禍，乃自身狂妄不察之故。從噬嗑至賁（山下有火），本為文明之象。然此詩示賁之反面：無辨別之智則無文飾之美，該精察之處反粗暴冒進，不知美醜者自取滅亡。
