Sparrows steal fat, nesting on a slender twig; shaken and unsteady, blown by the wind. Cold at heart and trembling -- ever fearful, yet not destroyed.

電雷噬嗑，明罰之卦。桃雀竊脂——小雀偷食桑上之脂。巢於小枝——棲於纖細之枝。搖動不安，為風所吹——風來枝搖，巢不得安。寒心慄慄，常憂不殆——心寒戰慄，長憂而終未殆亡。竊脂小雀喻超越本分者，棲枝過細不堪其重。從噬嗑至渙（風行水上），風散水面。此詩寫無盡之焦慮而無終局：雀未毀亦未安。渙之風使小巢永在搖晃之中——不覆不定，惴惴終日。
