崔嵬北岳，天神貴客。溫仁正直，主布恩德。閔哀不已，蒙受大福。
Lofty and towering, the Northern Peak; heaven's spirits are honored guests. Warm, benevolent, upright, and just, the lord bestows grace and virtue. Grieving ceaselessly in compassion, he receives great blessing.

注释
天在山中，大畜蓄德之象。崔嵬北岳，天神貴客——巍峨北嶽，天神降臨為上賓。溫仁正直，主布恩德——以溫厚仁慈、正直之德澤被萬物。閔哀不已——悲憫不止。蒙受大福——終獲厚福。北嶽為五嶽之一，天神所居之聖山。從大畜至臨（澤上有地），山中之天化為澤上之地。臨者，以教思無窮容保民無疆。蓄積之德化為臨民之仁，居高而不驕，布德而不竭，故天降大福以應之。
