Nine in the third place means. A good horse that follows others. Awareness of danger, With perseverance, furthers. Practice chariot driving and armed defense daily. It furthers one to have somewhere to go.

Six in the fourth place means: The headboard of a young bull. Great good fortune.

上九 何天之衢。亨。
Nine at the top means: One attains the way of heaven. Success.

倉庫盈億，年歲有息。商人留連，雖久有得。陰多陽少。因地就力。
Granaries brim with a hundred million; year after year there is increase. The merchant lingers long; though slow, there is gain at last. Yin exceeds yang. Working with the terrain, one draws on its strength.

注释
天在山中，大畜蓄積之象。倉庫盈億——倉庫充盈。年歲有息——年年有利息增長。商人留連——商人流連不去。雖久有得——雖耽延而終有所獲。陰多陽少——陰盛陽弱之格局。因地就力——隨地利而為。從大畜至歸妹（澤上有雷），蓄積之力化為歸附之勢。歸妹者，永終知敝——知其弊而能善終。倉庫之盈非一日之功，以陰柔之道守成，因地制宜，雖非主動進取之姿，然所蓄者歲歲增息，終成富足。蓄積之道亦有陰陽：陽蓄在開拓，陰蓄在守成。
