Morning clears, evening glows; the drizzle soaks my coat and shirt. Retreating, no ox is found.

注释
澤滅木，大過之象。朝霽暮霞——朝晴暮霞，天色變幻。瀸我衣襦——濕氣浸透我的衣裳。退無得牛——回來時卻找不到牛了。詩辭簡練而帶惆悵：一日之間天氣更迭，衣衫濕透，歸時牛已不見。衣濕為不可控之侵蝕；失牛為無聲之損失。節之象為澤上有水——水量超出則必有節制。然此詩示節制之代價：約束保全之同時亦有限制，限度之內所失者不可復得。從大過至節，過度被裁削，然裁削非無痛。失牛、濕衣，皆為從過度走向節制所付出之代價。
