水洊至，南行入棗園。惡虎伏於其間，然畏懼斑紋——或為更大猛獸之紋路，或為斑駁光影迷其視覺。執火銷金，鍛煉化解，由此患難消除。此詩將自然之險（園中之虎）與煉化之法（火融金屬）並置。從坎至中孚（澤上有風），君子議獄緩死，以誠心斟酌公義。銷金之火正是中孚之穿透性真誠：真切之信念精準施用，即最堅硬之對立亦可化為可塑之物。
