注释
明兩作離，火入地中生木之升。南行戴鎧——南征而著甲。登塲九魁——上場九次奪魁。車傷牛罷——車輛損壞，牛已疲憊。日暮咨嗟——日暮時分，唯餘嗟歎。詩前半寫輝煌戰績，後半急轉為疲憊衰竭。從離至升，地中生木，積小以高大：升之道在於漸進積累。然火性急烈，欲速成而不循序。九次奪魁已竭盡全力，車毀牛疲乃過度消耗之果。離火之猛入升木之緩，若不調適節奏，盛極即衰，日暮咨嗟為力竭之嘆。
