注释
天下有山，遯之象。積雪大寒——深雪嚴寒。萬物不生——萬物不生長。陰制庶士——陰氣壓制眾人。時本冬貧——時節本是冬日之貧乏。從遯至晉（明出地上），退避之山本應化為陽光破土而出之晉進。然詩中寒冰封鎖一切，日出而不能溫暖大地。晉之象為明出地上，光明本應普照；然退避經歷之嚴冬太過漫長，積雪太厚，陽光尚不足以融化堅冰。退避者知進之方向而未到進之時刻——冬盡方能春來，急之不得。
