山上有水，蹇之象。伯虎仲熊——可解作上古「八元」之二，舜帝所用之賢臣。德義淵弘，德義深厚如淵。使布五教——施行父義、母慈、兄友、弟恭、子孝之五倫。陰陽順序——天地秩序因之歸正。以道德教化而非武力匡正乾坤。從蹇至大過，澤滅木，獨立不懼。大過要求非常之人行非常之事。此詩示：非凡之德行施於非凡之人，即便最嚴重之蹇阻亦可歸正——然所需之努力本身即為「大過」。
