山上有水，蹇之象。荷蕢隱名——背草筐之人隱去姓名。以避亂傾——為避亂世之危。終身不仕——一生不出仕。遂其潔清——成就其清白之節。荷蕢者見《論語·憲問》：過孔子門而聞擊磬之聲，評曰「有心哉」。此無名隱者以退避保全道德之清明，不以出仕而自污。從蹇至井，木上有水，勞民勸相。井之德在於取之不竭、來者不拒。隱者本身即一口井——其清潔滋養任何前來汲取之人，雖不入廟堂。井之德不須官位，唯須水清。
