Six in the fifth place means: If only the superior man can deliver himself, It brings good fortune. Thus he proves to inferior men that he is in earnest.

堅冰黃鳥，終日悲號。不見白粒，但觀蓬蒿。數驚鷙鳥。孰為我憂？
Hard ice and a yellow bird, crying in sorrow all day long. No white grain to be seen, only brambles and weeds. Hawks startle again and again — who will grieve for me?

雷雨作，解之象也。堅冰黃鳥——冰封之地，黃鳥終日悲號。不見白粒——無糧可見。但觀蓬蒿——唯見荒草叢生。數驚鷙鳥——猛禽屢屢驚起。孰為我憂——誰來為我分憂？層疊之荒涼意象：冰、悲鳥、荒田、猛禽。從解至夬，澤上於天：夬者決也，以剛決柔。然此詩之突破揭示的是滿目瘡痍——決斷之後方知荒蕪之深，孤立之人於殘局中問：誰來理會？
