地中生木，升之象。畫龍頭頸，文章不成——畫龍而缺頭頸，篇章終究不完。所求不得，失利後時——所求者落空，時機已過。龍無頭則無方向，無頸則意與體斷——形雖在而神不至，功虧一簣。山下出泉為蒙（君子以果行育德），幼稚昏昧之象：泉水初出山下，方向未明。從升至蒙，穩健之升入昏暗之境——志高而才不逮，猶畫龍而未點睛。升勢中斷於半成之作，欲進而不得門徑，積功不足以竟全功。
