澤無水,困之象也。養雞生雛、畜馬得駒——畜牧繁殖,生生不息。明堂太學,君子所居——明堂為天子行禮治政之殿,太學為國家培育英才之所。詩以動物之繁育比擬人才之培養,二者皆需耐心呵護。從困至頤(山下有雷),君子以慎言語、節飲食。頤為養生之道:養牲畜須節制,養人才須慎重。困境中枯竭之資源,唯有通過培育下一代之功方可逐漸復充。自然之養與制度之養相輔相成。
