注释
雲上於天，需之蓄養。喪寵溢尤，政傾家覆——失去天命眷顧，禍患溢出。我宗失國，秦滅周室——以周室自稱，直指秦昭襄王五十一年（前256年）滅東周之史實。周室自東遷後日益衰微，諸侯不朝，終為秦所滅。此為亡國者之悲歌。從需至謙（地中有山），等待化為山藏地中之謙卑：諷刺在於，周室之亡正因不能真正謙退——名為天子而實無寸土，空守虛名而不知時變，終至覆滅。
