兼山為艮，出入節時——行止皆有節度。南北無憂——往來無虞。行者函至——旅人攜書而歸。在外者歸來。詩為和諧流通之寫照：去來有節，書信通達，團聚圓滿。從艮至既濟（水在火上），山化為水火交濟之象。既濟為萬物各得其位之少有時刻。詩恰合此意：靜止所生非停滯而是完美之節奏，每一動作皆從其位出發又歸於其位。
