澤上有雷為歸妹，澤中有火為革。仁德覆洽，恩及異域，澤被殊方——德化遠播，遍及四方。然禍災隱伏：蠶不作室，寒無所得。仁政雖廣，根基未固。蠶蟲不結繭，寒來無絲可用。從歸妹至革，澤中有火，革故鼎新。革卦「君子以治曆明時」，變革須合時機。此詩示外張之德若無內在之備，如蠶不織繭——春夏風光無限，秋冬一至便空手。革之火須有實質可變，否則只燒空氣。
