雷電皆至為豐，然詩入征伐之敗局。東山皋落為晉國東方之戎狄部族，叛逆不服王化，屢征不平。據《左傳》，晉獻公時嘗遣兵討伐皋落氏，恭子（或為領兵之公子）率師征之而敗覆。興師而不克，將帥蒙難。從豐至屯，雲雷屯之象：豐之明盛撞入初生之混沌，雷電之威化為雲雷之困頓，征伐之師陷於泥濘重圍，每進一步皆遇阻滯，步步維艱。
