隨風巽，君子以申命行事。詩引《詩經·鄘風·桑中》之意：「期我乎桑中」，採唐沬鄉，幽會桑間。然約者失信不至，佳期落空。思慕者日漸消瘦，憂思繫帶，腰圍日削。桑中之會本為男女歡情之典，此處反用為爽約失信之嘆。從巽至乾（天行健，君子以自強不息），風之綿密感化本應凝為天道自強之力，然於最親密之約尚且失信，何以成就天行不息之德？不能守一心之諾者，終無以生自強之勢。
