The field mouse, the wild chick; their hearts always yearn to flee. Held fast in cages and pens; they cannot move or stir.

注释
隨風巽，化為澤中有雷之隨。田鼠野雛，意常欲逃——田間之鼠、野地之雛，天性渴望自由。拘制籠檻，不得動搖——然被關入籠檻之中，全然不能掙脫。此為囚禁之象，毫無含糊：天性求自由者被構造性地剝奪了行動能力。從巽至隨（澤中有雷，君子以嚮晦入宴息），隨本為自願追隨，此處卻是被迫服從。巽風之感化本以德服人，此處代之以牢籠枷鎖。所隨者非出於歸心，乃因別無選擇。
