Six in the third place means: He finds a comrade. Now he beats the drum, now he stops. Now he sobs, now he sings.

三人俱行，北求大䍧。長孟病足，請季負囊。柳下之貞，不失我糧。
Three travel together; going north seeking great goats. The eldest has an injured foot; asking the youngest to carry the bags. The uprightness of Liu Xia; does not lose our provisions.

澤上有風，中孚之信。三人俱行，北求大䍧——三人結伴北行求取。長孟病足——長兄孟腳傷；請季負囊——請幼弟季背行囊。柳下之貞，不失我糧——以柳下惠之貞正保全糧食。柳下惠為坐懷不亂之典範，此處喻道德操守守護共同資源。從中孚至漸（山上有木），誠信化為山上樹木之漸進。漸為循序而升：非速而為穩，各人分擔其責，堅守本分方能不失所有。
