地上有水為比，然此詩盡寫邪祟入盟之禍。彭生為齊襄公弒魯桓公之工具（前694年），據《左傳》載，其冤魂化為野豬現於齊襄公獵場，致襄公驚墜而亡。白虎為西方凶星，主兵災殺伐。盜堯衣裳——篡奪聖王之名器以行惡；桀跖荷兵——暴君大盜持刃而行。青禽照火，三日夷傷，災禍接踵。從比至蒙（山下出泉），親附之道遭蒙蔽玷污——山掩水流，愚昧之中暗藏兇險。
