Yilin Verse
邦桀載役,道至東萊;百僚具舉,君王嘉喜。
The eminent heroes are dispatched on service; the road leads east to Donglai. All the officials are assembled; the king is pleased and joyful.

Commentary
Earth holds the mountain modestly, and now the state's strongest are mustered for service, their campaign reaching as far as Donglai in the east — the remote coastal region of Qi. All officials are assembled and performing well; the king is pleased and bestows favor. The verse evokes a successful military mobilization where even distant regions contribute their forces. From Modesty to The Army, earth above water conceals disciplined force within the land. The Army's mechanism is precisely this: the people's strength, normally hidden beneath peaceful fields, is organized and deployed when the ruler calls. Modesty's buried mountain becomes the hidden reservoir of military capability, and when the campaign succeeds to the sovereign's satisfaction, the humble foundation proves its worth.
