Yilin Verse
家給人足,頌聲並作。四夷賓伏,干戈韜閣。
Every household is supplied, every person has enough; hymns of praise arise together. The four barbarian tribes submit; weapons are sheathed and stored away.

Commentary
Clouds and thunder yield to earth over lake: initial struggle blossoms into benevolent oversight. Every household is provided for, every person content. Songs of praise rise in chorus, the four barbarian peoples submit and pay tribute, and weapons of war are stored away in their cabinets. This is the vision of a perfectly governed realm, where material sufficiency generates spontaneous loyalty. From Difficulty at the Beginning to Approach, the sovereign descends to meet the people as earth overhangs the lake. The vastness of initial difficulty has been transmuted into expansive generosity: the ruler draws near with open hands, and the world responds not with fear but with grateful harmony. Spears rest in their racks because they are no longer needed.
