Yilin Verse
水流趍下,遂成東海。求我所有,買鱣與鯉。
Water flows downward, at last becoming the eastern sea. Seeking what we possess, we buy sturgeon and carp.

Commentary
Wind and thunder bestow increase, and the transformation leads to thunder moving beneath heaven — the spontaneous rightness of Innocence. Water flows downhill and eventually forms the eastern sea. One seeks what one already possesses, buying sturgeon and carp at the market. The first image captures the effortless fulfillment of natural law: water does not strive to reach the sea, yet it inevitably arrives. The second image adds a note of practical wisdom — even abundance requires the simple act of going to market. From Increase to Innocence, the transformation reveals that the greatest benefits come without contrivance. Thunder beneath heaven sets all things in motion according to their nature. The one who acts without ulterior motive finds that what is needed comes to hand as naturally as rivers find the sea.
