Commentary
Clouds above heaven yield to fire glowing beneath the mountain — Grace adorning what shelter provides. One ascends the threshold, enters the chamber, and draws near the warmth to eat. Outside, ice grips the northern roads, yet the cold cannot harm those within. The verse celebrates the simple grace of domestic refuge: a warm room, food on the table, winter locked outside. The contrast between inner comfort and outer severity is the essence of adornment understood rightly — not decoration for show, but beauty that serves life. From Waiting to Grace, nourishment finds its form: the fire beneath the mountain illuminates a sheltered interior where waiting ends in the quiet satisfaction of being fed and warmed.
