Commentary
Clouds above heaven burst through as the lake rises to heaven in Breakthrough. The original verse reads: 'The Pole Star and Purple Palace — robed and capped one stands at the center. Harboring harmony and establishing virtue, one forever receives heaven's blessing.' The Purple Palace (紫宮) is the celestial enclosure of the pole star, corresponding to the earthly emperor's court. Standing robed at the cosmic center, the ruler embodies virtue and harmony, receiving perpetual heavenly mandate. From Waiting to Breakthrough, patient accumulation reaches the point of decisive release: the lake breaks through to heaven, accumulated merit is proclaimed, and what was gathered in stillness now radiates as sovereign authority.
