鵲巢烏城,上下不親。內外乖畔,子走矢頑。
Magpie nest and crow's perch; above and below share no affection. Inside and outside at odds; the son flees, the heir rebels.

Commentary
Water over lake sets boundaries, but here the boundaries have been transgressed from within. Magpies nest in a crow's city — usurpers occupy what was built by others. Above and below no longer trust one another; inside and outside turn mutinous. Children flee and the stubborn dig in. The image is of a household or state where every relationship has curdled: the wrong creatures roost in the right places, and loyalty dissolves at every level. From Limitation to Waiting, the transformation reveals that when internal order collapses, all one can do is wait under threatening skies. Water hangs above heaven, the danger not yet fallen. The broken household must endure suspense, unable to act until the storm clarifies who remains and who has fled.
