傳言相誤，非由正途。鳴鼓逐狐，不知蹤跡。乾至無妄，天下雷行，物與無妄。無妄即無虛妄，然此詩恰寫虛妄之害：流言層層失真，捕狐之行建基於錯誤情報，鼓聲震天而方向全錯。先王以茂對時育萬物，需順天之真而非從人之妄。天雷忽至，唯誠心方能應之。以流言行事者為無妄之反面，縱鳴鼓出獵，所追不過幻影，終歸虛發。
