天與火同人，然此詩寫女子空候之景。季姬踟躕於城隅，望齊侯而不至，終日至暮，惘然若失。末句轉折：君上無憂——她的思念是私情，國事安穩。此與《詩經》中女子望城牆而待歸人之意象相通。從同人至隨（澤中有雷），未成之渴望化為安然接受。隨卦嚮晦入宴息——君子日暮而安歇。候人者雖不見其君，卻體現隨之深義：並非所有羈絆都須圓滿方為羈絆。
