注释

地勢坤,厚德載物。四足無角,君子所服——四足而無角之獸,為君子所用。南征述職,以惠我國——南行述職,利益國家。無角之獸或指馬、或指羊,皆溫順可御之畜。述職者,諸侯朝覲天子報告政務也。從坤至履(上天下澤),地之柔順化為如履虎尾之謹慎。履者,辯上下定民志,以禮行事。坤之臣以無角之馴順行南征之職責,不以剛猛而以恭順。柔順行於險途,正合履之道:不咥人,亨。
