地勢坤，厚德載物。典冊法書，藏在蘭臺——典籍法令文書，收藏於蘭臺之中。雖遭亂潰，獨不遇災——雖逢天下大亂，唯此典籍倖免於難。蘭臺為漢代皇家藏書之所，班固曾為蘭臺令史。天在山中，大畜之象：君子以多識前言往行以畜其德。從坤至大畜，大地之泛泛承載轉化為有意識之珍藏保存。大畜之要在「識」與「畜」——非被動接受一切，而是主動擇取前人智慧加以蓄積。亂世毀一切，唯蓄之有道者存。此即大畜之精義：積蓄非為眼前，乃為天崩地裂後仍有所傳。
